Pradeep Avadhani is a specialist in port infrastructure development. His had his first experience in this field when he joined the Port of Singapore (PSA) and for his 3 years in PSA, was directly involved in on-ground operations, allowing him to hone his technical and management skills.

In his extensive experience after leaving PSA, he was recruited by Portek Algeria where he was tasked to convert a conventional port into a modern container terminal with a budget of 20 million US dollars. Posted to Algeria, he was involved in the full spectrum of setting up and operationalizing the project from negotiating the concession, planning and construction, procuring and commissioning equipment, job creation, hiring, dealing with port unions, employee training and IT and ERP systems implementation and business development amongst others.

After his tenure in Portek, Pradeep ventured into building up businesses on his own. Since then, he has served as the Director of Africa Consulting and Investment Private Limited, which is incorporated in Singapore. The company is involved in consultancy and procurement services for port and logistics projects in Africa and acts as consultants to Port Authorities in Africa to improve policies and service levels. His knowledge of ports and of the African continent has also earned him the role of port consultant to the Gabon Special Economic Zone where he is involved in all stages of of the project including budgeting and the eventual operationalisation of the facilities.

He currently divides his time between Africa and Singapore.
